Juan Maeda (前田寿安) was a influential Japanese illustrator renowned for his work in the SM art scene from the 1970s onward. Known for his evocative black-and-white illustrations accented with striking reds, Maeda’s art seamlessly blended traditional Japanese aesthetics with the provocative themes of bondage.
He collaborated with prominent SM magazines such as SM Select, SM King, and SM Fan, and frequently illustrated works by BDSM novelist Oniroku Dan, including the iconic Flower and Snake.
