Shoji Hashimoto was a Japanese illustrator active from the 1970s to the 1990s.
His work appeared in cult magazines such as SM Fan, SM Select, SM Club, and SM Spider.
This particular artwork was originally published in SM Fan, March 1987, as part of the illustrated novel “Carnival Rape”
A monograph of his work — Bondage Carnival — was published in 2001 by Soft Magic Co., and includes a substantial interview with the artist.
