Published from 1956 to 1966, Uramado was one of Japan’s first major SM magazines, mixing fiction, essays, illustrations, and photography. Edited by Toshiyuki Suma and later Chimuo Nureki, it featured pioneers like Kyoichi Yabutsuka.
It was also among the first to introduce Western SM icons such as Bettie Page and John Willie.
Discontinued in 1966 and succeeded by Suspense Magazine.
